Behringer Wing console system now available for hire
This console is extremely well suited to musical theatre applications as it is TheatreMix compatible, and with the I/O options you can have for instance your mics at FOH (up to 24) and an SD16 or two in the orchestra pit. Considering it's size it also does very well as a monitors console paired with Midas StageCONNECT hardware, handling a broadcast mix (especially in a cramped truck), and even in your home studio for a full multitrack recording where you may not have enough interfaces or analog multicore.
Introducing our flash new Behringer WING COMPACT. This 48-channel, 28-bus full-stereo digital mixing console will ensure that you need not sacrifice input channels to "make it all fit". It just does (especially with all channels being stereo or mono). Featuing 12+1 motorised faders, large 10" capacitive touchscreen interface, and touch-sensitive rotary controls.
The WING ecosystem is very customisable. It has 12 layer fader full custom layout fader bank (every layer is custom), and user softkeys with a small function readout. Unlike the full size WING, the compact has a plethora of analog I/O on board. 24 Midas PRO mic pres (those of the M32 rather than the X32), and 8 XLR line outs.
But it doesn't stop there! The WING COMPACT also offers expandability options. With three AES50 SuperMAC ports (giving you a total AES50 capacity of 144 in by 144 out) a StageCONNECT port, and optional expansion cards for audio interfaces (SD card 48ch multitrack by standard), digital network bridges (2 ports to support redundancy without a switch), 48/48 USB multitrack recording, MIDI in/out, and GPIO.
StageCONNECT is a very powerful interface and if you are a band using IEMs for instance, you can use 2 Midas DN4816-O in your rack and suddenly can have 16 stereo IEM sends straight from the wing. This is just an example of one of many powerful uses StageCONNECT has.
In addition, the WING COMPACT features three variable plug-in processing slots for all inputs. Each slot can host plug-ins based on iconic vintage analogue equalisers and compressors, and some impressive FX giving consoles twice it's price a run for their money.
